Your entry today really struck my mommy chord today. I am the mother of a VERY slender 10 year old boy and he has always been this way. I have a few things for you to think on that I hope will set your mind a little to rest.
1. Is your family history (yours or daddy's) slight of build/skinny?
2. Does she have a healthy appetite and eat appropriate to her age?
Keep in mind that Pediatrician's look more at the percentiles than the actual individual child's growth. She is still gaining, if slowly. My son's pediatrician was also my pediatrician and looked at both mine and his father's physical backgrounds and though his weight was very slow growing and still is (he's 4'6" and only 79 pounds), he is very healthy. I'm not suggesting you not do what your ped has suggested, but wanted to console you a bit in the fact that all people are different and therefore grow differently. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or would like to talk a bit more. A fellow mom and knitter.
priestess_des_rowan@yahoo.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
