Aha moment
I just had an aha! moment (Love that phrase I first heard on Oprah). I can't get any knitting done because none of it has a deadline. Is there a deadline for the Mariah-a-long? My dad's sweater should be pulled out because it has a deadline, and it is actually coming up. I have less than a month. I finished one sleeve and half of the back, so a month is do-able. I need help - is there some sort of support group? I need a group for knitters who need a deadline to finish something. I will never make something for myself if I need a deadline. I will try to lie to myself and say my birthday, but I don't know if that will work. I have been in a knitting funk for awhile, and I couldn't figure out why. This is why. Any help I can get would be very appreciated. I did work on my socks for a bit on the train this morning.

Hi! I like your blog! I am a knitter who THRIVES on deadlines. and they have to be REAL deadlines... I tried "lying to myself" to get things done, but it didn't help. I knew I was lying. :) I have a Cafe Cardigan in Classic Elite Provence (current Cast On magazine) to finish bt June 18. (SIL's b-day). My yarn is somewhere in the mail. If you want some support... let me know! one deadliner to another... just wait until Christmas!

That is just it - Christmas I was churning out knitted items.
Knitting deadlines... try a knit-a-long. They usually have some sort of start and end date. If you are competitive at all, you could find somebody who wants to make the same thing as you, and have a knitting race!! :)
